The site is low lying, and there is almost no visibility from public roads or other public rights of way. Land grade is low. Planning permission was granted. Construction and commissioning completed in May 2016 and has been operational since then. The connection to the local electricity company, Western Power, is via the substation at the neighbouring Lympsham Solar, which is a commercial solar farm. Verdant is a community solar farm providing benefits for its associated charity. As with other solar farms of ours sheep grazing continues during operation of the solar farm.
