The site was selected as the landscape is very low lying, and there is almost no visibility from public roads or other public rights of way. Land grade is low. A connection offer was received from the local electricity company, Western Power, and planning permission was granted in 2014. Construction and commissioning completed in Q1 2016, and the solar farm has been operational since then. Sheep grazing will continue during the lifetime of the solar farm.
